Degrease-It

Product Summary

INSTRUCTIONS

DAILY:

Keep floors free from grease, oil, and soap build-up.

1. Use a fresh supply of Degrease-It.  Mix with HOT water.  Solutions of 8:1 up to 64:1 (see dilution chart on pg 3) can be used depending on the amount of grease on the floor.  Do not use more cleaner than is needed.  This will help avoid soap build-up, which creates a slippery floor.  Rinse mop and bucket after every use.

2. To avoid soap residue and build-up, rinse degreaser completely after washing is complete.  (HOT water rinsing is recommended to help remove all residues).

Greasy environments:  Spraying Degrease-It and a HOT water solution on to the floor with a hand held pump sprayer is more effective.  Mopping just moves the grease around plus the soap is weakened as it is moved across the floor.  Also, when you dip your mop back into the bucket, you are contaminating your cleaning solution.  You will save money with the sprayer technique since you will no longer be pouring half of your cleaner down the drain from your mop bucket.

Tip:

Using a nylon bristled brush will clean much better than just mopping.  This will clean down to the pores and grout, thus removing the oils and greases most people leave behind.  After cleaning, rinsing your floor with a HOT water hose is preferred.  Squeegee when done.  If there are no drains, mop rinse with HOT fresh water completely.

For more difficult grease problems, using a deck brush will make Degrease-It more effective.  Rinsing is recommended.  Also, more frequent Degrease-It applications may be required in the worst grease areas.

For less difficult cleaning problems, bi-weekly or even monthly treatments may suffice and a weaker dilution ration may be used (as high as 64:1).

Tip:

Degrease-It will also degrease mops and rubber mats, clean oil stained concrete and heavy machinery.

DEGREASE-IT is an enzyme like degreaser that when sprayed on a floor; penetrates the pores, eats the grease, removes oils, and eliminates soap build-up.

Recommended after-care product of Baker’s SUPER GRIP.

No need to use mops and buckets, just spray on and rinse off with a hot water hose.

Diluted at various ratios, this product can be used to clean engines, heavy machinery, oil stained concrete, rubber mats, mops, as well as greasy kitchen floors.

Some degreasers create soap build-up and do a poor job at cleaning.  Bleach cleaning, ammonia cleaning and many other poor quality cleaners can leave a slippery surface.

Here are three tips to determine if you have a poor cleaner:

1. If the floor looks embedded with dirt, the cleaner is usually half the problem.

2. Dip your finger into full strength cleaner.  Next, rinse your finger under running water.  If the cleaner stays slippery for more than 7 seconds, it is of poor quality.

3. Use DEGREASE-IT on a supposedly ‘clean floor’.  Then wipe with a white towel and you will see whether soap or dirt build-up is still present.

One of the biggest problems restaurant kitchens and other greasy floor environments have is maintaining their floors in a slip proof fashion.  Soap and grease build-up and not properly maintaining floors are part of the problem.

Degrease-It can be purchased by the gallon for those who like to do-it-yourself.   Call an experienced technician to provide more information about how much product you will need and costs associated.   1-800-865-2950
